This portrait was made with Caran d' Ache pastel pencils and pan pastels. It is 11" x 14" on Pastelmat. The reference I made this portrait from was of Guinness when he was old with many age spots and with a lot of white around his snout. The dog's owner wanted me to make a portrait with a more youthful look so she could give it to her husband for his birthday. He and Guinness were the best of friends.
